how it all began
if you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll know that tea wasn’t my main gig. more like a love language. a simple gift i could craft for my friends, content with the knowing that it was doing some good.
my other passion was, and still very much is, massage.
since i was a kid, i knew this was my calling. to give others a moment of peace and ease. to explore the mechanics of living and honor the magic of life.
it really is something special.
back in 2018, i was nearing a decade of massage and looking for ways to expand my offerings and extend the longevity of my career. this led me to taking courses through the nutritional therapy association, sparking my curiosity for tea blending.
then, as life likes to do, i was given a curveball. a crack to my skull and some debilitating pain. my nervous system was on overdrive and the opioids were NOT helping.
ah, tea.
you beautiful thing.
it was the herbs that coaxed me back to health. gently relaxing my muscles, settling my stomach, and clearing my mind. it was like a light switch was flipped. my pain was reducing, my emotions were becoming more regulated, and goodness gracious, even if the tea wasn’t doing anything, it was still such a comfort in my hands.
and so it began.
i started with a few basic blends, hand drawing every. single. label. then with covid and the right opportunities landing in my lap, i was able to open an apothecary. it was a magical little spot where i learned to really listen to people’s needs and craft them unique, powerful, and delicious blends.
it was really incredible work.
after just a couple years of that, life had other plans and aligned me more deeply with my people. i’m still massaging, sharing space with a bunch of beautiful yogis and supporting some incredible therapists in their practices. and most sweetly and excitedly, i’m expanding on this tea adventure once again, now with my husband at my side. scott was there when i first decided to open up shop. he was there through every product re-design, every moon circle, and has had a lot of cups of tea with me. he’s the one taking all the pictures, managing the business stuff that makes my head spin, and keeping me on track with our timelines and goals.
it’s fun to do business together and i feel pretty lucky to be able to say that. my entire career has been dedicated to helping others, and i can’t tell ya how much it warms my heart to now be supported myself.
these teas are some kind of magic.
the way they bring people together and brighten a mood. i’m just a steward of this earth, and it’s an honor to share her gifts. i hope you love them just as much as i do.
thank you, from my very deepest roots,
hannah
